New Products Update July 2009 - Isoquinolines
Isoquinoline is a common structural feature in drug molecules in many therapeutic areas: antibacterial PPAT inhibitors (WO2009073545); anti-diabetic DPP-IV inhibitors (WO2005000848). We have launched sets of new isoquinoline synthons which are strategically substituted with amino, formyl, carboxylic acid and bromomethyl groups. A selection of new sythons is shown below. 6-Aminoisoquinoline (AS1280) can be used in the preparation of GRK-2 inhibitors for the treatment of cancer (US20090069371; WO2007008926). 6-Bromoisoquinolin-1-amine (AS2490) can be used to prepare ROCK-1 inhibitors for disorders such as hypertension, atherosclerosis and glaucoma (WO2007065916).
